KOTA KINABALU -- State Police Commissioner, Datuk Ramli Yusuff, on Wednesday warned shotgun owners and ammunition sellers not to sell bullets to 'bakakuk' and 'ginsuk' (home-made shotguns) owners.

He said this was because there had been many cases of accidental shootings involving bakakuk and ginsuk owners while hunting.

"This year alone, we recorded about 10 cases of accidental shooting while hunting using the home-made shotguns with bullets obtained either from the licensed premises or legal shotgun holders," he said after inspecting a firearms licence renewal exercise at the city police headquarters here."
