MOSCOW – A visit to Moscow's popular and crowded IKEA furniture stores can often be a trying experience, but somebody appears to have courted temptation by taking along their Kalashnikov.
Russian online media reported Tuesday that police are looking for somebody who left an assault rifle in a coatroom at an outlet of the Swedish retailer in the Moscow suburb of Khimki.

Canadian Police Ruling on Handgun May Widen Rifle Magazine Loophole

An RCMP decision on whether to approve an Alberta man's exotic pistol could widen a loophole doubling the legal magazine capacity for semi-automatic rifles.

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro has announced the creation of "peace zones" and his justice minister said the government should consider stricter gun control, a piecemeal approach in the face of rampant violence.
According to El Universal, Maduro said the zones will be enforced through participation from state institutions and citizens, and will be implemented in "public spaces," highways, hospitals, schools and universities.
