Silver Medal Shooter Told 'Not to Panic' Over New Gun Laws

AUCKLAND — Silver medal-winning pistol shooter Jason Wakeling has been told he will not lose his 'precious weapons' under new guns laws.
Gun policy researcher Philip Alpers said reports Mr Wakeling would consider moving to Australia if tighter gun laws forced him to hand in his pistols, demonstrated the 'ill-informed and completely unjustified level of panic' over new gun laws by gun owners.
