9th July is International Gun Destruction Day During the last year the Guardia Civíl destroyed a total of 86,566 weapons in Spain, 3,493 of which were confiscated in the Murcia region. 852 of the weapons from Murcia are small firearms and more than 2,000 long-barrel shotguns and rifles.
