After Spate of Killings, Nigeria Urges Borno Residents to Surrender Guns

MAIDUGURI — Worried by the spate of killings in various parts of Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital, the Joint Task Force (JTF) yesterday asked residents to either surrender their arms or face the wrath of the law.
It said all arms acquired illegally must be returned on or before October 31, 2011.
