A 46-year-old man and his wife were awoken by a loud noise at their home on Milne Street, Shortland, about 4.30am (AEDT) on Friday. They told police they saw two men men run from the house and get into a grey or green-coloured Toyota Landcruiser. The couple discovered their safe, with nine long-barrelled firearms and an amount of ammunition inside, had been stolen.
