Gun Owner's Daughter Stole Pistol Later Used in Michigan Police Shootout

GRAND RAPIDS — The 9 mm handgun was stolen soon after it was purchased for $500 at Al & Bob's Sports.
"I don't think I ever shot a round out of it," its owner recalled.
He didn't know what ultimately happened to his gun. If it was used in a significant crime, the 64-year-old figured he would have heard.
He hadn't.
