Fort Worth Man Convicted of Firearms, Ammunition Smuggling

FORT WORTH -- A Fort Worth man who was among more than 300 people arrested in October as part of a nationwide crackdown on a violent drug cartel was convicted late Tuesday of federal firearms and ammunition smuggling charges.
Daniel Bernardino was tried and convicted by a federal jury in connection with Operation Coronado, the largest single strike at Mexican drug operations in the United States, federal officials said.
