NEW HAVEN, Connecticut — A Bristol pawn shop employee pleaded guilty Monday to one count of making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm as part of a federal gun sting, federal authorities said. Philip DeFrancesco, 40, of Waterbury was an employee of G&G Pawnbrokers at 294 Middle St., Bristol, in January when two undercover federal agents acting as part of a firearms sting came in to see if they could purchase a gun illegally, court papers...
