In 'Timber for Guns' Swap, Switzerland Lifts Arms Export Ban to Liberia

MONROVIA — An embargo by the Swiss government on the importation of Liberian timber and related products has been lifted, a diplomatic source said on Thursday.
The source also said that from December 1, policy would also be modified to allow Liberia to import arms for use in security and police forces.
