Salmon Arm Observer (British Columbia)

The Conservative government has taken aim at the controversial long-gun registry. Legislation was tabled in the House of Commons Monday that would scrap the registry, which has cost Canadian taxpayers about $1 billion since 1995. "We said we would do it, and we did," said Colin Mayes, Okanagan-Shuswap MP, of the government's actions.
