CHICAGO — In the second lawsuit brought against the gun industry by a major U.S. city, Chicago said on Thursday it is suing firearms manufacturers and sellers to recoup the cost of urban gun violence. Chicago's $433 million suit, announced by Mayor Richard Daley and filed in Cook County Circuit Court, alleges gun makers and dealers violated public nuisance laws by knowingly designing, marketing and distributing firearms so they fall into the hands of the city's...
