Artículo 43. (Caza)

I. La autorización de uso de armas para actividades de caza, será otorgada por el Ministerio de Gobierno.

II. El Ministerio de Gobierno, a través de la Policía Boliviana, efectuará el registro de asociaciones que tengan por objeto la caza, así como del armamento y munición de propiedad de sus asociados, debiendo verificar que su importación haya sido previamente autorizada por el Ministerio de Defensa. La obtención del citado registro, es requisito indispensable para el desarrollo de sus actividades.

III. Queda autorizado el uso de armas de fuego para la caza de subsistencia, a las personas naturales que forman parte de las comunidades indígena originario campesinas, situadas dentro su región.

IV. Está prohibido el uso de explosivos en la caza y pesca.

Article 43. (Hunting)

I. Authorisation to use weapons for hunting will be granted by the Ministry of the Interior.

II. The Ministry of the Interior, through the Bolivian police, will licence associations for hunting, as well as weapons and ammunition owned by its members. They must verify that their imports have been previously authorised by the Ministry of Defence. Obtaining the aforementioned licence is a prerequisite for the development of their activities.

III. The use of firearms is authorised for subsistence hunting for people from indigenous communities.

IV. It is forbidden to use explosives while hunting and fishing.
