Art. 31. Marking of firearms and firearms' accessories. (art. 18a Law on Arms)
1 The following indications must clearly appear on each firearm, essential component or accessory of a firearm manufactured in or introduced into Swiss territory:
a. individual numerical or alphabetical marking;
b. the designation of the manufacturer.
2 Non-marked firearms can be introduced into Swiss territory for the following purposes:
a. active perfecting;
b. exhibition and demonstration.
3 The OCA can authorize other exceptions. The authorization must be limited in time.
