Number of Firearms
The Thai government has reported the country as having 1,080,394 licensed private firearms, but news accounts place the number of licensed weapons at about 3.7 million, and there could be as many as 10 million illicit arms in circulation.
Large numbers of military arms are also stockpiled, and many are vulnerable to theft.
