Section 27. Carrying of firearms outside dwelling-house without licence forbidden

(1) No person shall carry any firearm outside his dwelling-house unless he has with him the licence to carry such firearm.

(2) Every person carrying a firearm outside his dwelling-house shall produce his licence to carry such firearm whenever requested to do so by the Licensing Authority or any police officer or auxiliary constable:
Provided that if a person produces his firearm licence within 24 hours after being requested to do so, he shall not be deemed to have committed any offence.

(3) Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with the provisions of subsection (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars.
