Executing search warrants at two sites in Narrabundah and Fyshwick about 5am, officers seized seven firearms, three replica firearms, a large amount of ammunition and a quantity of drugs.
ACT Police said the weapons found at Narrabundah included four rifles, two pistols and one shotgun.
"Police also seized three replica firearms and 2,000 rounds of shot gun ammunition following a search warrant in Fyshwick at the same time," a spokeswoman said.
"Investigations are ongoing and no charges have been laid in relation to the items seized."
Detective Sergeant Shane Scott said the raids show the determination of police to remove firearms from Canberra streets.
“The seizure of these guns is another win for ACT Policing and the community, however, Criminal Investigations detectives are continuing to work hard to ensure the criminals behind these illicit firearms and drugs are taken off the street as this investigation continues,” Detective Sergeant Scott said.
Anyone with information about illegal firearms in the community can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
