NRA Lobbying Jams Mayors' Mailboxes

The typewritten, 4-by-6 cards started arriving at Largo Mayor Bob Jackson's office a week ago Friday. A week later, he had 1,516 of them.
"It's the most mail I've ever received," said Jackson, who had been a commissioner for 26 years before his April election as mayor. "It's from all over Florida."
What could have motivated that many people to write to the rookie mayor?
Let's just say, Smith & Wesson, the Clinton administration and the NRA.
