Importación

Articulo 23 - Toda importación de armas requerirá autorización previa del Registro Nacional de Armas, y se concederá, si correspondiere únicamente a los importadores inscriptos en el "Registro de Importadores de Armas".

La autorización deberá ser solicitada en la forma que se establezca por ante el Registro Nacional de Armas y acordada con anterioridad al embarque de los materiales en el país de origen, dejando constancia de los datos relativos a identificación de la firma vendedora en origen e importador actuante en el país.

Además se especificará:

1) Cantidad y detalle de los materiales a importar, con especificación de tipo, marca, modelo, calibre y número de serie de cada uno de ellos.
2) Clasificación o asimilación de los materiales…
3) Destino con que se introducen los materiales en cuestión y aduana habilitada por la que se solicita se verifique el ingreso al país.

Importation

Article 23 - The importation of firearms requires prior authorisation from the National Firearm Registry, and if applicable, only importers registered in the "Registry of Firearm Importers" are permitted.

The authorisation must be requested in the prescribed manner and submitted to the National Firearm Registry, and must be granted before the shipment of materials into the country; details on the selling company and on the importer acting within the country must be recorded.

Furthermore, [the following] shall be specified:

1) The number and details of materials to be imported, including the specific type, brand, model, calibre and serial number of each of them.
2) Classification or assimilation of the materials…
3) Intended destination of the materials in question, and the competence of Customs, through which they should enter the country, has been verified.
