Introducción al país e Importación
Articulo 11.- La introducción al país e importación de los materiales clasificados como "armas de guerra", se ajustarán al régimen que a continuación se determina.
Por Particulares
1) Sólo se admitirá la introducción de aquellos materiales cuya tenencia haya sido previamente autorizada de conformidad a las prescripciones de la presente ley y su reglamentación.
Dicho material, como asimismo el que portaren los viajeros procedentes del exterior, quedará retenido en la respectiva dependencia aduanera o policial hasta la presentación de la autorización pertinente.
Si ésta hubiere sido denegada, su poseedor podrá optar por reexpedir el material al exterior, venderlo a un comerciante inscripto cuando fuere procedente o donarlo al Estado. Transcurrido el término de 180 días de notificada la denegatoria sin que se hubiere optado por alguna de las alternativas mencionadas, el material se considerará abandonado y pasará a propiedad del Estado.
El Estado podrá en cualquier momento expropiar el material cuya introducción no se hubiere autorizado.
Registro de Importadores
2) Los importadores, además de cumplir los requisitos que exijan otras disposiciones legales y reglamentarias, deberán:
a) Inscribirse en los registros que se determinen reglamentariamente
b) Llevar libros especiales, rubricados por las autoridades competentes, y comunicar a las mismas sus operaciones.
Importación
3) Toda importación con fines comerciales requerirá autorización previa del Registro Nacional de Armas, la que se concederá únicamente a los importadores inscriptos. Negado el permiso, el material deberá ser reembarcado al exterior…
Puertos y Aduanas autorizados
4) La importación y exportación se realizará únicamente por los puertos y aduanas que fije el Poder Ejecutivo…
Tránsito internacional del material
6) El tránsito a través del territorio nacional con destino a otro país se efectuará previa autorización del Registro Nacional de Armas, de acuerdo con los convenios internacionales que existieran en la materia, sin perjuicio del cumplimiento de otras disposiciones que rijan al respecto…

Introduction into the Country and Importation of Weapons of War
Article 11 - The introduction and importation of materials classified as "weapons of war" into the country shall conform to the following requirements.
Individuals
1) Only the introduction of those items that have been authorised in accordance with provisions of this Act and its regulations are permitted.
These items will be retained in the respective Customs or police station until the relevant authorisation has been presented.
If the authorisation has been refused, the holder may opt to send back the items to another country, sell them to a registered dealer when appropriate, or donate them to the state. If a decision is not made within 180 days, the items shall be considered abandoned and become the property of the state.
The state may at any time expropriate material that has been introduced without the proper authorisation.
Register of Imports
2) Importers, in addition to complying with requirements set by other legal provisions and regulations, must:
a) Subscribe to the registers referred to in the regulation
b) Keep special records, initialed by the competent authorities, and communicate to the same authorities their operations.
Import
3) All imports for trade purposes require prior authorisation by the National Firearm Registry, which may only be granted to registered importers. If the authorisation is denied, the material shall be reshipped abroad…
