Artículo 52 - Marcaje
Se entiende por marcaje el señalar con signos distintivos a las armas de fuego, municiones, explosivos, accesorios y afines que hagan posible su pronta identificación. La autoridad competente requerirá que el material de referencia posea de manera adecuada:
a) el nombre del fabricante, el lugar y año de fabricación y el número de serie;
b) el nombre y dirección del importador;
c) el marcaje de las armas de fuego, sus piezas y componentes, municiones, explosivos, accesorios y afines incautadas, decomisadas o confiscadas que se destinen para uso oficial.
La autoridad competente reglamentará el presente artículo.

Article 52 - Marking
Marking means: distinctive marks placed on firearms, ammunition, explosives, accessories and similar items that can be identified promptly. The competent authority requires that the reference material possesses the following:
a) the manufacturer's name, place and year of manufacture, and the serial number;
b) the name and address of the importer;
c) the marking of firearms, ammunition, explosives, accessories and similar items that have been confiscated or seized. This will be retained for official use.
The competent authority shall regulate this article.
