Según el Decreto No.269 de fecha 25/4/2011, se declaró de Emergencia la Creación e Implementación un nuevo Sistema Nacional de Armas (SISNA), para lo cual se diseñó una plataforma tecnológica avanzada, en interés de mejorar Los procesos existentes y aplicar nuevos controles vinculados al porte, tenencia y comercio de armas de fuego, municiones, etc.

En el mismo sentido, el Ministro de Interior y Policía… dictó en fecha 28/08/2013 la Resolución No. 390/2013, con la cual se estableció la captura de las huellas balísticas y biométricas como requisito complementario a los existentes, para la expedición y renovación de las licencias de armas de fuego, así como que las informaciones balísticas y biométricas sean integradas al Sistema Nacional de Armas (SISNA), iniciando dicho proceso de captura el 3 de octubre de 2013.

Resaltamos también, que dentro de este sistema se diseñó una nueva licencia/carnet para el porte y tenencia de arma de fuego, el cual contiene medidas de seguridad mejoradas, tales como un Código QR, donde se encuentra toda la información del arma y del usuario.

Marking and Registration

According to Decree No.269 dated 25/4/2011, emergency was granted to Create and Implement a new National Firearms System (SISNA), for which an advanced technology platform was designed, in order to improve the existing processes and to apply new controls related to carrying, possession and sale of firearms, ammunition, etc.

In the same vein, the Minister of the Interior and Police … issued on 28/08/2013 the Resolution No. 390/2013, in which was established the capture of biometric and ballistic fingerprints as an additional requirement to those already in place, for the issuance and renewal of firearm licences, as well as the integration of the ballistic and biometric information into the National Firearms System (SISNA). The capture process was initiated on October 3, 2013.

We also highlight that within this system, a new licence/card for the carrying and possession of firearms was designed, which contains improved security measures, such as a QR code, with all the information from the firearm and the user.
