Artículo 22. Almacenamiento de Armas

La persona física o moral que posea una licencia para comerciar en armas de fuego, deberá almacenar las armas, municiones y fulminantes en el arsenal del Estado, y donde no exista éste, en un local del Gobierno que esté bajo la custodia del Ejercito Nacional o a falta de éste en la Policía Nacional. Al hacer este depósito el oficial encargado del arsenal o del local del Gobierno donde se depositen, dará un recibo que tenga una descripción de los efectos depositados, y al entrenar éstos o parte de estos para la venta, exigirá del dueño una constancia escrita de la entrega.

Párrafo. Los comerciantes en armas están autorizados para tener en su establecimiento una cantidad de armas que no exceda de tres (3) revólveres, seis (6) escopetas, cien (100) cápsulas de revolver, mil (1,000) cartuchos de escopetas, diez (10) libras de pólvora fina, cien (100) libras de perdigones para las mismas y mil (1,000) fulminantes.

Act No. 36 of 1965, on the Commerce, Carrying and Possession of Firearms

Article 22. Firearm Storage

Any individual or legal person possessing a licence to trade in firearms must store the firearms, ammunition and detonators in the State arsenal, and should this not exist, in a Government-controlled site under the custody of the National Army, or of the National Police. Upon depositing the firearms, the officer responsible for the site shall provide the dealer with a receipt outlining the deposited products, and whenever these are sold, shall request from the owner proof of their reception.

Paragraph. Firearm dealers are authorised to have in their establishment a quantity of firearms not exceeding three (3) revolvers, six (6) shotguns, a hundred (100) revolver caps, a thousand (1000) cartridges for shotguns, ten (10) lbs of fine gunpowder, a hundred (100) lbs of pellets for the latter, and a thousand (1000) detonators.
