Artículo 14. Exportación

A los efectos del presente Decreto-Ley, se considera exportación, el envío o traslado hacia otro país, de armas, sus accesorios (piezas, cañones de repuesto, caja o cajón de los mecanismos, cierre o cerrojo, tambor o masa) y municiones, pertenecientes a personas naturales o jurídicas, a través de puertos y aeropuertos autorizados.

Como requisito previo a la tramitación del acto exportador, el interesado debe presentar al Ministerio del Interior, el documento legal que ampare la autorización de entrada del país de destino, de las armas sus accesorios y municiones, a partir de lo cual se emite el correspondiente permiso de exportación, el que debe ser mostrado a las autoridades aduaneras a su salida del país.

Decree-Law No. 262 of 2008, on Arms and Ammunition

Article 14. Export

Under the effects of the present Decree-Law, "export" refers to sending or transferring to another country weapons, their accessories (parts, spare barrels, the components of the receiver of the weapon, lock or bolt, cylinder, firing pin or striker) and ammunition, belonging to natural or legal persons through authorised ports and airports.

As a requirement prior to the processing of the exporting act, the applicant must provide the Ministry of the Interior with a legal document that grants firearms, their accessories and ammunition the authority to leave the country. The corresponding exporting permit will be issued after and must be shown to Customs authorities upon their exit from the country.
