Artículo 4. Excepciones a las Armas Prohibidas

Se exceptúan de lo establecido en el Artículo que antecede y se podrá expedir licencia o permiso, siempre que expresamente se autorice por el Ministerio del Interior, sobre las armas siguientes:

a) fusiles con sistemas de puntería óptico y dióptico destinados para actividades deportivas.
b) armas de fuego cortas de cualquier calibre cuyo régimen de realización del disparo sean ráfagas, entregadas por estímulo o en reconocimiento por los servicios prestados a la Revolución;
c) escopetas recortadas, cualquiera que sea su calibre, destinadas para la seguridad y protección de bienes y personas;
d) armas de fuego destinadas solamente para el empleo de municiones de salva, para actividades deportivas, fílmicas, televisivas, teatrales y otras de caracter artístico…

Las armas de fuego a que se refiere el inciso d) del presente Artículo, son inutilizadas de forma tal que solo se pueda realizar el tiro de fogueo con municiones de salva.

Article 4. Exceptions for Prohibited Arms

The following arms are exempt from what is established by the previous article, and could still be under a licence or permit, as long as it has been explicitly authorised by the Ministry of the Interior:

a) Optic and dioptic-view rifles destined for sports activities;
b) Short firearms, of whichever calibre, whose firing mechanism operates in bursts, handed-over as an acknowledgement for the services paid to the Revolution;
c) Shotguns that have been shortened, whatever their calibre, destined for the security and protection of goods and persons;
