Artículo 19. Armas de Fuego Deportivas

Armas de fuego deportivas, son aquellas destinadas a la práctica de tiro deportivo o de la cacería, de acuerdo con la siguiente clasificación:

a) Pistolas y revólveres para pruebas de tiro libre, rápido y fuego central;
b) Armas cortas no automáticas para tiro práctico;
c) Revólveres o pistolas de calibre igual o inferior a .38 y de cañón superior a 15.24 cm. (6 pulgadas);
d) Escopetas de uno o dos cañones, de repetición o semiautomáticas: del calibre 10 (0.615" o 15mm) al 410 o sus equivalentes;
e) Revólveres o pistolas de pólvora negra;
f) Carabinas calibre 22S, 22L, 22L R, no automáticas;
g) Rifles de cacería de repetición;
h) Fusiles deportivos que no sean automáticos o semiautomáticos; e,
i) Otras armas de las no previstas en los literales anteriores, previa autorización del
Comando Conjunto.

Article 19. Firearms for Sporting Purposes

Firearms for sporting purposes are those designed for the practice of sports-shooting or hunting, in accordance with the following classification:

a) Pistols and revolvers for free shooting, rimfire and centrefire [Uncertain expression 'para pruebas de tiro libre, rápido y fuego central' could refer to free shooting, rimfire and centrefire. Accurate translation required];
b) Non-automatic handguns for practical shooting;
c) Revolvers or pistols of a calibre smaller than or equal to .38 inches, with a barrel longer than 15.24 cm (6 inches);
d) Shotguns with one or two barrels, repeating or semi-automatic; with a calibre from 10 gauge (0.615 inches or 15 mm) to .410 or their equivalents;
e) Black powder revolvers or pistols;
f) Shotguns of calibre .22S, .22L, .22L R, non-automatic;
g) Repeating shotguns;
h) Sporting rifles, other than automatic or semi-automatic; and,
i) Other weapons than those included in the above paragraphs, subject to authorisation of the Joint Command.
