Artículo 20. Autoridad Facultada para el Registro y Extensión de Permisos

La autoridad facultada para registrar y extender permisos para tener y portar armas es el Jefe del IV Departamento del Estado Mayor del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas; quien podrá delegar para ejercitar esta facultad a las Autoridades Militares o Policiales en sus respectivas jurisdicciones, conforme al Reglamento pertinente.

Article 20. Authority Responsible for the Registration and Issuance of Licences

The authority in charge of the registration and issuance of licences to possess and carry firearms is the Chief of the IV Department of the Joint Command's Staff of the Armed Forces; who may delegate this power to the Military or Police Authorities in their respective jurisdictions, in accordance with the relevant Regulation.
