Artículo 19. Autorización de Tenencia y Porte de Armas de Fuego

Ninguna persona natural o jurídica podrá, sin la autorización respectiva, tener o portar cualquier tipo de arma de fuego. Se exceptúa de esta prohibición al Personal de las Fuerzas Armadas, Policía Nacional, Policía Militar Aduanera y demás organismos estatales cuyos miembros podrán utilizarlas en la forma que señalan las Leyes y Reglamentos de la Materia.

Article 19. Authorisation to Possess and Carry Firearms

No natural or legal person may possess or carry any type of firearm without proper authorisation. The Staff of the Armed Forces, National Police, Customs Police and other state bodies shall be exempted from this restriction, and their members may use them in ways indicated by Acts and Regulations on the matter.
