Sanciones para la Tenencia de Armas Prohibidas

Artículo 57. La mera tenencia de una arma, munición o explosivo, u objeto prohibido, se sancionará sin perjuicio de la responsabilidad penal, con el decomiso inmediato y multa de uno (1) a cinco (5) salarios mínimos mensuales más alto, vigente en el sitio del decomiso. Si se tratase de una persona jurídica la multa será de cinco (5) a diez (10) salarios mínimos mensuales.

Penalties for the Possession of Prohibited Firearms

The mere possession of a prohibited firearm, ammunition, explosive or object, shall be punished, without prejudice to the criminal liability, by the immediate seizure of the item and with an on-site fine of one (1) to five (5) minimum monthly salaries. In case of a legal person, the fine will be the equivalent of five (5) to ten (10) minimum monthly salaries.
