17. Temporary loans

Notwithstanding section 16 but subject to sections 18 and 19, the holder of a current firearm licence may, unless prohibited by a condition included in his licence, lend any firearm referred to therein for a period not exceeding one month to any other holder of a current firearm licence, and may supply him with ammunition for such firearm but, subject to sections 18 and 19, it shall be unlawful for any person to lend an airgun or supply any ammunition for an airgun to any person under the age of fourteen years.
