Chapitre IV: Autorisation de port et de transport des armes et munitions

Article 57:

1. Le port et le transport des armes d'épaule et munitions des catégories 5,1 72 et 83 sont libres.

2. Sont interdits, sauf dans les cas prévus aux articles 58-14 et 58-2:5

- le port des armes et munitions de 1re6 et 4e7 catégorie, des armes de poing de 7e2 et 8e3 catégorie, des armes de 6e8 catégorie énumérées à l'article 2 ainsi que, sans motif légitime, le port des autres armes de la 6e8 catégorie;
- le transport sans motif légitime des armes et munitions de 1re6 et 4e7 catégorie, des armes de 6e8 catégorie et des armes de poing de 7e2 catégorie.

La licence délivrée par une fédération sportive, mentionnée au b du 4- de l'article 239 ci-dessus, vaut titre de transport légitime pour les tireurs sportifs visés au 2- de l'article 2810 ci-dessus et pour les personnes transportant des armes de la 6e8 catégorie, pour les armes utilisées dans la pratique du sport relevant de ladite fédération.

3. Les armes visées au 2- ci-dessus sont transportées de manière à ne pas être immédiatement utilisables soit en recourant à un dispositif technique répondant à cet objectif, soit par démontage d'une de leurs pièces de sécurité.

4. Par dérogation au 2- ci-dessus, le port et le transport des armes de 1re6 et de 4e7 catégorie acquises et détenues légalement dont l'emploi est permis pour la chasse sont autorisés pour l'exercice de cette activité dans les conditions prévues par arrêté conjoint des ministres de l'intérieur et de la défense et des ministres chargés de l'industrie, du commerce, des douanes et de l'environnement.

Chapter IV: Authorisation to Carry and to Transport Firearms and Ammunition

Article 57:

1. Carrying and transport of shoulder weapons and ammunition of the 5th,1 7th2 and 8th3 categories are free.

2. Prohibited except in cases provided for in Articles 58-14 and 58-2:5

- carrying of firearms and ammunition of the 1st6 and 4th7 categories, handguns of the 7th2 and 8th3 categories, weapons of the 6th category, listed in Article 2, as well as, without genuine reason, the carrying of other firearms of the 6th8 category;
- transport, without genuine reason, of firearms and ammunition of the 1st6 and 4th7 categories, weapons of the 6th category and handguns of the 7th2 category.

The licence issued by a sports federation, mentioned in 4-b) of Article 239 above, is equivalent to a lawful transport document for sports shooters, referred to in 2- of Article 2810 above, and for individuals transporting weapons of the 6th8 category, for firearms used for the practice of sports covered by the said federation

3. Firearms referred to in 2- above are transported in a way that they cannot to be used immediately either by using a technical device to meet this objective, or by removing their safety parts.

4. Notwithstanding 2- above, carrying and transport of firearms of the 1st6 and 4th7 categories, lawfully purchased and held, their use being allowed for hunting, are authorised for such activity, under conditions set by joint order of the Ministers of Interior and Defence, and Ministers in charge of Industry, Trade, Customs and Environment.
