i) Por favor, describa cualquier programa de desarme, desmovilización y reintegración (DDR) que su país haya desarrollado y aplicado, incluyendo la incautación, control, almacenamiento y destrucción efectivas de SALW.

- A partir de la entrada en vigencia La Ley Para el Desarme, la República Bolivariana de Venezuela inicio el desarme de las personas que porten, detenten u oculten armas de fuego de manera ilegal, a los fines de salvaguardar la paz, la convivencia, la seguridad ciudadana y de las instituciones, así como la integridad física de las personas y de sus propiedades. Y actualmente la Comandancia General de la Guardia Nacional en coordinación con el Ministerio del Interior y Justicia, puso en marcha el plan Desarme 2005.

ii) Describa de qué manera su país ha abordado las necesidades especiales de los niños afectados por los conflictos armados, en particular la reunificación con sus familias, su reintegración en la sociedad civil, y su correcta rehabilitación.

- Se creó la Fundación para las víctimas de la criminalidad común (FUNDAPROVIC), por parte del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia, (0-800-7877366 TLF. LINEA GRATUITA).

Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR)

i) Please describe any disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration (DDR) programmes your country has developed and implemented, including the effective collection, control, storage and destruction of SALW.

- Since the Law on Disarmament came into force, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has started to disarm people who illegally carry, possess, or conceal firearms, for the purpose of safeguarding peace, coexistence, and public security, as well as the physical integrity of people and property. Currently, the General Command of the National Guard in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior and Justice launched the 2005 Disarmament Plan.

ii) Please describe how your country has addressed the special needs of children affected by armed conflict, in particular the reunification with their family, their reintegration into civil society, and their appropriate rehabilitation.

- The Foundation for the victims of common crime (FUNDAPROVIC) was created by the Supreme Court of Justice (TEL: 0-800-7877366. CALL FREE).
