Au Benin, les armes saisies par la Commission Nationale de Lutte Contre la Prolifération des Armes Légères sont stockées à la Présidence de la République ou auprès des greffes au niveau des tribunaux.
A ce jour le nombre d'armes saisies et stockées se chiffre à mille huit cent (1800). Leur destruction interviendra incessamment.
Par ailleurs, il convient de noter que les armes obsolètes des stocks nationaux sont gardées dans les dépôts du Ministère de la Défense Nationale.
La gestion de ce stock ne relève pas des attributions de la CNLCPAL.

Collection and Destruction of Illicit, Surplus and Obsolete Weapons
In Benin, the weapons seized by the National Commission to Fight the Proliferation of Small Arms of Benin are stored by the Presidency of the Republic or by the courts' offices.
To this day, the number of seized and stored weapons amounts to 1,800. They will soon be destroyed.
Moreover, it should be noted that obsolete weapons of national stockpiles are stored in the depots of the National Ministry of Defence.
