Comité de coordination Interdépartemental pour la lutte contre les Transferts Illégaux d'armes (CITI)
Créé par l'Arrêté Royal (un acte du pouvoir exécutif fédéral) du 9 février 1999 (http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_loi/change_lg.pl?language=fr&la=F&cn=1999020956&table_name=loi), ce comité visait à optimaliser la coordination et l'échange d'informations en matière de lutte contre les transferts illégaux d'arme, afin de permettre à tous les services concernés par le commerce des armes de mieux exercer les compétences qui leur ont été attribuées.
Le secrétariat du Comité de coordination était assuré par le Ministère des Affaires étrangères. Les Ministres chargés de l'octroi des licences d'exportation et de transit assuraient la coprésidence dudit comité. Le comité était en outre composé du Magistrat National et de représentants du Ministère des Affaires étrangères, du Commerce extérieur et de la Coopération au Développement, du Ministère de la Justice, du Ministère des Affaires économiques, du Ministère de l'Intérieur, du Ministère des Finances, du Ministère de la Défense nationale, de la Gendarmerie et du Banc d'épreuves des armes à feu.
Des experts ayant des connaissances spécialisées dans le domaine des transferts illégaux d'armements étaient invités à participer aux réunions du Comité de coordination en qualité de techniciens. Par suite de changements institutionnels visant les compétences liées aux différents participants, les modalités de ce comité ont changé.

Interdepartmental Coordinating Committee for the Fight against Illegal Arms Transfers (CITI)
Created by the Royal Order (an act of the executive government) of 9 February 1999, (http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/cgi_loi/change_lg.pl?language=fr&la=F&cn=1999020956&table_name=loi), this goal of this committee was to optimise the coordination and exchange of information in the fight against the illegal transfer of weapons, in order to allow all services involved in the arms trade to better exercise the responsibilities attributed to them.
The secretariat of the Coordinating Committee was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ministers responsible for export and transit licensing co-chaired that committee. The committee was also composed of the National Magistrate and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Cooperation for Development, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of National Defence, the Gendarmerie and Proof House of Firearms.
Experts with specialised knowledge in the field of illegal transfers of weapons were invited to attend meetings of the Coordinating Committee as technicians. Following institutional changes concerning the responsibilities related to the different participants, the terms of reference of this committee have changed.
