Violent Infractions

In order to obtain the number of different violent acts, we have carried out a rough categorisation between serious violence and violence of medium intensity. The proportion of serious acts of violence reaches 3% in 2009.

Among those are homicides (51 homicides/189 attempted homicides), serious bodily injuries (524), rapes (666) and banditry according to art 140.4 of the penal code (43). If 23% of homicides are committed with a firearm and 44% with a bladed weapon, the majority of serious bodily injuries (57%) result from pure physical violence.
