Article 2:

(1) Les armes et leurs munitions sont classées en quatre catégories.

1. Armes et munitions de guerre;
2. Armes et munitions de défense;
3. Armes et munitions de chasse;
4. Armes et munitions de traite;

(2) Le ministre Chargé des Forces Armées est compétent pour décider de la classification d'une arme et de ses munitions dans l'une des quatre catégories ci-dessus.

Article 3:

Les armes à feu soumises aux dispositions du présent décret sont celles utilisant de la force explosive de la poudre et appartenant aux 2e et 3e catégories à savoir;

- Armes de défense et leurs munitions;
- Revolver et pistolets non classés matériels de guerre;
- Armes de chasse et leurs munitions;
- Armes de chasse de tous modèles exception faite de celles qui sont susceptibles de tirer des munitions de guerre.

Article 4:

Sont exclues de champ d'application des dispositions de présent décret;

- Les armes à air comprimé et leurs munitions;
- Les armes et les munitions classés « matériel de guerre » qui demeurent soumises à une réglementation spéciale;
- Les armes de traite qui feront l'objet d'un texte particulier.

Article 2:

(1) There are 4 categories of firearms and ammunition:

1. Weapons of war and their ammunition;
2. Defence firearms and their ammunition;
3. Hunting firearms and their ammunition;
4. Air guns and their ammunition;

(2) The Minister in charge of the Armed Forces has the authority to decide the classification of one firearm and its ammunition in one of the 4 categories above.

Article 3:

Firearms that are subject to the provisions of this Decree are the ones using the explosive force of gunpowder and belonging to the 2nd and 3rd categories namely;

- Defence firearms and their ammunition;
- Revolver and pistols not classified as weapons of war;
- Hunting firearms and their ammunition;
- Hunting firearms of any type except the ones able to shoot ammunition of war.

Article 4:

Are not subject to the provisions of this Decree;

- Air guns and their ammunition;
- Firearms and ammunition classified as "weapons of war" that are subject to a special regulation;
- Firearms used in trafficking that will be subject to a special regulation.
