Con fecha 31 de diciembre del 2009 fue aprobada la Resolución 31 por el Ministro del Interior, estableciendo el Reglamento del Decreto-Ley 262 sobre armas y municiones. A partir de la puesta en vigor de este Reglamento se inciará el proceso de inscripción para los poseedores de armas de fuego autorizados y aún no inscritos. Una vez concluida esta fase, se iniciará la renovación de licencias a los poseedores de armas de fuego que lo requieran. Finalmente se comenzará a expedir licencias para portar armas de fuego a los agentes vinculados a la seguridad y protección que lo precisen.

On December 31, 2009 the Minister of the Interior approved Resolution 31 which establishes the Regulation of the Decree-Law 262 on firearms and ammunition.

Once this Regulation is enacted, authorised gun owners not yet registered will be registered. Once this process has finished, possession licenses will be renewed.

Finally, gun carrying licences will be issued to security and protection agents who need them.
