Marking (Marcaje)

El artículo 43 de la Ley 36 (sobre Comercio, Porte y Tenencia de Armas de Fuego, 1965), establece que toda persona que modifique la numeración, recorte o haga recortar carabinas, escopetas, rifles y cualquier otra clase de armas de fuego o que coopere en tales operaciones proporcionando los medios para ejecutarlas, se castigará con la pena de 10 a 20 años de prisión.

La Dirección Nacional de Control de Armas, a través de la Intendencia General de Control de Armas, revisa los marcajes de las armas de fuego y las que carecen de identificación o que resulten con modificación, se procede a su incautación y posteriormente su destrucción.

Article 43 of Law 36 (on Trade, Carrying and Possession of Firearms, 1965), provides that any person who changes the firearm marks; trims or has his/her rifles, shotguns, rifles and any other kind of firearms trimmed; or cooperates in such activities by providing the means to implement them, is punishable by a penalty of 10-20 years in prison.

The National Office for Arms Control, through the General Administration for Arms Control, checks the firearm markings and any unmarked or altered weapons are seized and later destroyed.
