Article 43:

Les contrevenants aux dispositions de la présente loi seront punis d'une peine d'emprisonnement de un (1) à cinq (5) ans et d'une amende de 50,000 à 500,000 francs CFA ou de l'une de ces deux peines. En cas de récidive, la peine est portée au double.

La condamnation entraîne la confiscation des armes et des munitions objet de l'infraction et en outre pour les commerçants, fabricants et réparateurs d'armes ou de munitions, le retrait de l'autorisation et la fermeture du commerce ou de l'atelier.

Article 43:

Violators of the provisions of this Act are punishable by a prison term of 1 to 5 years and a fine of 50,000 to 500,000 Francs C.F.A., or one of them. In case of a second offence, the penalty is doubled.

The conviction leads to the confiscation of firearms and ammunition subject of the offence, and in addition for dealers, manufacturers and repairers of firearms and ammunition, the withdrawal of their authorisation and the closing down of the shop or workshop.
