Artículo 40. Inspección del Establecimiento

El Departamento podrá enviar un inspector antes de decidir sobre el otorgamiento del permiso, el cual verificará las medidas de seguridad del local y si fuera del caso hacer las recomendaciones respectivas.

De igual forma, cuando el Departamento considere conveniente realizará visitas de inspección a los establecimientos dedicados a la venta de armas y municiones, con el fin de controlar el estado, almacenaje y medidas de seguridad sobre éstas y de velar por cumplimiento de las disposiciones legales que regula la materia.

Article 40. Inspection of Businesses

Before deciding if a licence is granted, the Arms and Explosives Control Department will send an inspector to check the security measures of the premises and if necessary, provide recommendations.

Similarly, the Department will carry out inspection visits to arms and ammunition shops whenever it considers that it is necessary to do so, in order to control the state, storage and safety measures and to check if legal requirements are being met.
