ACT NO. 54 of [23rd December, 1959]
An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to arms and ammunition.

Preliminary

1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Arms Act, 1959.
(2) It extends to the whole of India.
(3) It shall come into force on such date 1* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gezette, appoint.
