Il est institué un registre national des armes marquées qui est tenu par le ministère ayant la sécurité publique dans ses attributions.

Quatre autres registres tenus respectivement par la Police Nationale du Burundi, le Ministère de la Défense Nationale, le Service National des Renseignements, le Ministère de la Sécurité Publique en ce qui concerne les armes tenues par les civils, alimentent le registre national.

The national register of marked firearms is kept by the department in charge of public safety.

Four other registers, kept respectively by the National Police of Burundi, the Ministry of National Defence, the National Intelligence Service, the Ministry of Public Safety regarding firearms held by civilians, feed the national register.
