Constituent notamment des infractions punissables au sens des articles 479 et 480 du Code Pénal burundais, le fait de:

- Causer des dommages corporels à quelqu'un, l'intimider ou exercer des menaces sur sa personne en usant de son arme;
- Porter ou utiliser une arme sous l'effet de l'alcool ou des stupéfiants;
- Conserver avec négligence une arme, à tel point qu'elle cause des dommages à autrui ou à soi-même.

Article 18:

The following offences are considered punishable under Articles 479 and 480 of the Criminal Code of Burundi:

- To cause personal damage, intimidate or engage threats on his/her person, using his/her firearm;
- To carry or use a firearm under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- To store a firearm carelessly, so much so that it causes harm to others or to oneself.
