La Collecte et l'Elimination des Armes illégalement détenues a lieu grâce à la Coopération Technique et l'Assistance Financière de certains Partenaires Techniques et Financiers.

Ainsi le Mali, à travers la CNLPAL (Commission Nationale de Lutte contre la Prolifération des Armes Légères), a bénéficié de deux aides techniques et financières de la part du Royaume de Belgique. Les deux projets ont permis de collecter sur la population de Tombouctou:

- armes: 2326
- munitions: 9207
- autorisation individuelle de possession d'armes: 1259

Dans le cadre du Programme de développement du Nord-Mali, la Lybie a financé un projet qui a permis la collecte de mille quatre cent trente et une (1431) armes.

Dans la même veine, la CNLPAL, vient d'obtenir le financement de deux projets similaires dans les régions de Kidal et de Gao respectivement par l'AEN (l'Aide de l'Eglise Norvégienne) et le Royaume du Japon.

The technical cooperation and the financial assistance of certain technical and financial partners manage the collection and disposal of illegally held firearms.

Thus Mali, through the CNLPAL (National Commission to combat Proliferation of Small Arms), received two technical and financial assistances from the Kingdom of Belgium. The two projects allowed collecting in the population of Timbuktu:

- firearms: 2,326
- ammunition: 9,207
- individual authorisation to possess firearms: 1,259

In the framework of the Development Programme of North-Mali, Libya financed a project that allowed collecting 1,431 firearms.

Also, CNLPAL just obtained funding for two similar projects in the regions of Kidal and Gao, respectively, by the NCA (Norwegian Church Aid) and the Kingdom of Japan.
