Export, Import and Transit Authorisation (Autorisation d'exportation, d'importation et de transit)
L'autorisation d'importer ou d'exporter des armes légères est délivrée par le Commandant des Forces Armées contre remise d'une attestation du représentant diplomatique ou consulaire accrédité de l'Etat où les armes et les munitions doivent être importées et certifiant que l'importation y sera autorisée par les autorités de l'Etat.
Si les armes et les munitions doivent transiter dans un au plusieurs Etats-tiers, le Commandant des Forces Armées ne peut délivrer l'autorisation de transit que contre remise d'attestations émanant des représentants diplomatiques ou consulaires de chacun de ces Etats et certifiant que les Autorités concernées de ces Etats autoriseront le transit des armes et des munitions sur leurs territoires respectifs.
L'autorisation de transit et d'importation a une durée de 6 mois tandis que celle d'exportation n'a qu'une durée d'un mois.

The authorisation to import or export small arms is issued by the Commander of the Armed Forces, subject to the submission of a certificate from the accredited diplomatic or consular representative of the state from where the arms and ammunition must be imported and stating that the state authorities will permit the importation.
If the arms and ammunition must transit through several third party States, the Commander of the Armed Forces shall issue a transit permit, subject to the submission of certificates issued by diplomatic or consular representatives of each State and certifying that the Authorities of those States permit the transit of arms and ammunition on their respective territories.
The transit and import authorisation is valid for a term of 6 months and the export authorisation is valid for a term of one month.
