i) Does your country require licensed manufacturers of SALW [Small Arms and Light Weapons] to apply an appropriate and reliable marking on each weapon as an integral part of the
production process?
No manufacturer company but for the imported weapons should be properly marked with logos of the manufacturer and serial number…
[In] the future Ethiopia will mark with [a] combination of letters, symbols, code, etc, to ensure that marks are unique. Such marks [will] convey: name of manufacturer, place/country of manufacture, date of manufacture, serial number, model number, calibre, etc.
