Marking of Government Firearms (Marcaje de Armas Gubernamentales)

Todas las armas de fuego de las fuerzas de seguridad del Estado deben registrarse en la Dirección General de Control de Armas y Municiones (DIGECAM), proceso en el cual se verificará que las armas posean el marcaje obligado, marcando las que carezcan de algún dato; además se les marcará las siglas GUA, que significa que las armas de fuego están registradas en el Estado de Guatemala.

All government guns must be registered by the Office for Arms and Ammunition Control (DIGECAM), which is in charge of verifying that the arms are correctly marked and marking any missing data. All the guns will be marked with the letters GUA, which means that they are registered in Guatemala.
