[Translation by GunPolicy.org]

Firearms, ammunition and explosives are required by law (Law 737 of 2002) to have a unique identifying mark.

Arms imported by INDUMIL should be marked by the manufacturer with the following information: name of manufacturer, year of manufacture, calibre and model, import year and contract number.

Ammunition used for personal defence and hunting is marked in the rim with the brand INDUMIL and the calibre; the box is marked with an eight-digit serial number, the first two numbers are the year of manufacture.
