Registry of Firearms

(1) Every licensed dealer shall maintain records containing an inventory of firearms, dangerous devices, and ammunition or any of them received, together with the name and address of the person from whom they were received, and the manufacturer, type and serial number of each firearm and dangerous device, the name and address of the person to whom it was transferred, the identification card number of such person, the manufacturer, type and serial number of the gun or dangerous device transferred and the date of transfer.

Such records shall be available for inspection at all reasonable times by the Secretary, and his or her duly designated representatives.

Such records shall be retained for at least five years.
