Artículo 9

Pueden poseerse o portarse, en los términos y con las limitaciones establecidas por esta Ley, armas de las características siguientes:

I. Pistolas de funcionamiento semi-automático de calibre no superior al .380 (9mm.), quedando exceptuadas las pistolas calibres .38 Super y .38 Comando, y también en calibres 9 mm. las Mausser, Luger, Parabellum y Comando, así como los modelos similares del mismo calibre de las exceptuadas, de otras marcas.

II. Revólveres en calibres no superiores al .38 Especial, quedando exceptuado el calibre .357 Magnum.

Los ejidatarios, cumuneros y jornaleros del campo, fuera de las zonas urbanas, podrán poseer y portar con la sola manifestación, un arma de las ya mencionadas, o un rifle de calibre .22, o una escopeta de cualquier calibre, excepto de las de cañón de longitud inferior a 635 mm. (25), y las de calibre superior al 12 (.729 ó 18. 5 mm.).

III. Las que menciona el artículo 101 de esta Ley.

IV. Las que integren colecciones de armas, en los términos de los artículos 212 y 22.

Article 9

People are allowed to possess and to carry, under terms and within limitations established by this Act, firearms of the following characteristics:

I. Semi-automatic pistols of caliber not superior to .380 (9mm.), with the exception of pistols of calibres .38 Super and .38 Commando, and also Mausser, Luger, Parabellum and Commando of calibre 9 mm., as well as similar models of the same calibre as the one of these exceptions, of other brands.

II. Revolvers in calibres not superior to .38 Special, with the exception of the calibre .357 Magnum.

Cooperatives farmers, communal land owners, and day-field laborers, outside of urban zones, may possess and carry, with a single declaration, one of the above-mentioned firearms, or a rifle of calibre .22, or a shotgun of any calibre, except those with a barrel length that is shorter than 635 mm. (25), and those of a higher caliber than 12 (.729 or 18.5 mm.).

III. Those mentioned in Article 101 of this Act.

IV. Those that are part of collections of arms, under terms of Articles 212 and 22.
